The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each member has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
- The warrior and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could enable the team enter locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in search of Casimir.
